HALLOWEEN 2010.

Halloween seemed to go on forever this year….it was probably the first year both kids have been old enough to really partake in all things Halloween and that they did! We dressed up a number of times for dance class, school parties, birthday parties, just for fun parties and of course the big night itself!  Ella wore an array of costumes including, Princess Jasmine a gorgeous head to toe costume that we picked up at the Bibbity Bobbity Botique while in Disneyland earlier this year, a colorful Hula Girl for dance class, Alice in Wonderland for a birthday party and then She had a literally LAST MINUTE costume change on Halloween about a half hour before she was to leave for the Hitmen game with a couple of her friends, she decided to go with Rocker Chick, big thanks to Danna of Bowes Photography for making this possible after Ella dug through her props the day before…check out a little spur of the moment photo shoot by Danna on her facebook page here.  Oliver on the other hand made sure we got our monies worth out of his costume, he continually tossed his Spiderman costume to the side in favor of Buzz everytime.  I ended up washing it twice before we were even close to trick or treating time.  I had no protests though, if you ask me he was the sweetest looking Buzz Lightyear in history.

Brock and I even broke out some fabulous costumes this year for a party at a friends, I protested and fought to the bitter end on Brock’s choices for our costumes but in the end had a blast as Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimagio complete with bat and burnt wine cork under the eyes…I’ll spare you the photos…or possibly spare my friends and myself  from seeing themselves dressed up on my blog!

Our pumpkins, top one is Oliver’s design, middle Mom’s made with Oliver’s hands, and finally Ella’s design.

The Catholic school system doesn’t allow kids to wear costumes but they did have orange and black day along with crazy hair!

making witches brew at preschool…

and whats a good preschool party without a magic potion…believe it or not he was having fun!

She played the part very VERY well!

All ready to go on what was the warmest Halloween since we moved to Calgary…totally different then our first year here when we took Ella out in knee deep snow and she asked to go home after two houses!
